Campground Review: Rattlesnake Campground

Just a little more than an hour from Boise, Rattlesnake Campground is a great blend of rugged, isolated yet close enough to enjoy the many outdoor activities Idaho has to offer. 

Overview

Rattlesnake Campground is located 13 miles north of Crouch, Idaho along the Middle Fork Payette River at an elevation of 3,600 feet. 
The Middle Fork drainage offers excellent trail opportunities. Fishing and hunting are popular activities as well.

Facilities:

The campground consists of nine single sites and one double site that make up one large, accessible group site, which can accommodate up to 100 people. A two night minimum stay is required on weekends. A three night minimum stay is required on holiday weekends.
Picnic and utility tables, campfire rings and a picnic shelter are provided. Two accessible vault toilets are also provided. Ten parking spurs are available, each 50-75' in length. 
Additional camping is available at nearby Hardscrabble and Trail Creek Campgrounds.

Know Before You Go

  • Site is reservable as a group unit only; individual sites are available on a first come, first served basis when there is no group reservation

  • No firearms allowed within 150 yards

  • General parking area is 100' x 75'
